A quick update

Jan 3th / no comments

hey guys!

Just thought I’d give you a quick update on everything and nothing.

First off, the planned releases;

Quiet Steps: Henrik has a lot less room now in his apartment now that the records have arrived. We’re waiting for the covers to be done, and then we’ll hang out and stamp some labels! We’ll let you know when the whole shebang is done, and we’ll put up the record for order. Anyway, the wait will be worth it, the record sounds amazing!

New and Very Welcome: songs are done and being mastered now. The covers are being done by Jess (The New and Very Welcome) and Andy (Maddox, from TSL and HBOG). The songs sound amazing, and we can’t wait to get this out to you!

Morning Wood: due to the two other releases, this has been pushed a bit back… Hopefully we’ll get this one out soon, as it deserves to be on the perfect format that is vinyl

Other news: after way too much to do lately, I’ll be able to get the last distro items up on the site. That means that the LPs and used/ rare items will be up in a few days. I’m glad to see orders ticking in, and I’m happy to say that the cart is working perfectly

The RELEASES page has still not been updated, and I’m sorry about that. I haven’t had the time, and I honestly have to say that I’ve forgotten the whole thing…

I think that’s all for now! Just drop us a line if you got any questions (either a comment or a e-mail)

We’re releasing Quiet Steps

Nov 18th / no comments

I guess it’s time for some H-U-G-E news. Since the band has made it official now, I guess I can too. Listen To Aylin Records are releasing Quiet Steps brand new full length “Think Aloud”. Quiet Steps has been one of my favorite bands for quite some time now, so this is a really huge, HUGE deal to me. Quiet Steps is a band I want everyone to hear, because their music is intense and inspiring in so many ways. I’ve just paid the pressing plant for 300 copies, and the 12″ test presses are being produced as we speak. Stay tuned!

Distro!

Nov 14th / 2 comments

Woohoo!

Got a bunch of new records for the distro, and to celebrate that, we got a whole new cart system up and running. Might have a few bugs and glitches, so please send me a mail (chris AT listentoaylin DOT com) and let me know.

The shipping part is a bit nuts at the moment, but I will take care of that in a day or two

More stuff will be added over the course of the next few days

Also, we’ll be back soon with some exciting news!

Twitter announced it all

Nov 9th / no comments

Hey, everyone!

I just had to make a blog entry about this. The Saddest Landscape tweeted about our upcoming release and linked to our new page! We’re really grateful that they did, ’cause we’re really proud of the new website and we want as many people as possible to take a look at it. Also we’re really stoked that the guys made it official for everyone outside Norway, that yes, we are in fact releasing the fantastic Saddest Landscape covers 7″ as recorded by The New And Very Welcome. I assure you it sounds amazing! Stay tuned.

While waiting for both the 7″ and the launch of a new distro, please check out the temporary distro section. One last thing before I go: I also want to say that we’re working on something pretty huge and very, very exciting at the moment. I think we’re gonna make it official pretty soon, but until then keep checking back with us.

Thanks Andy and Aaron (+ rest of The Saddest Landscape) for putting up the link!

Love,

Henrik

New site!

Nov 5th / 1 comment

So, here we are! A new site for all you guys and galsĀ out there

A new cart system is being set up as we speak, so sooner than soon, a new distro site will be up and running.

A few news as well;

- A couple of new releases are being planned out. We’re currently planning/ talking about four (!) new records. Two of them are nailed, and two are almost ready to be announced. More info on that shortly.

The records we’re ready to talk more about, you might be thinking? Well, wait no longer!

The New and Very Welcome – Boquets of Traffic Lights 7″

A now-Boston based singer songwriter that floored me with her sincerity and honesty, combined with her ability to entrance a listener with simple meassures. When she asked us if we were interested in doing a 7″ with her, I had no doubts. The record will be a covers-record where she covers the oh-so-powerful tour-de-force known as THE SADDEST LANDSCAPE!

I strongly urge you to take a listen to the songs by The New and Very Welcome (http://www.myspace.com/thenewandverywelcome), and of course; learn the songs she’s covering by buying more The Saddest Landscape-stuff(http://www.coveryourheart.com)

Morning Wood – S/T 7″

Italian and underrated! Similar to the early-2000 era of italian screamo (think early Raein and early La Quiete, with a mix of newer stuff like Cotidie Mori, Khere and The Chinese Dama), both melodic and intense. The release originally saw the light of day on CDr and a limited tour-tape. The band name kinda put me of at first, but after hearing them, I had no reservation about releasing the songs on 7 inches of pure passion. Oh, and the band is not to be confused with the New York “indie band” Morning Wood.

- A new site! Well, kinda obvious… The new thing about the site is that it’s built on a whole new engine, and it will make it easier for Henrik and me to update the site! So, more nonsense from both of us on the site!

That’s it for now, peeps! Stay tuned for more updates from both me and Henrik
